[00:20:43] #KSPOfficial: mode change '+o UmbralRaptop' by ChanServ!ChanServ@services.esper.net [03:07:59] welp.. guess I may as well game test a little... [03:55:36] k... anyone else uses KAS/KIS and noticed ships on ground jumping and blowing parts? [04:04:19] so... its the wheels causing the problem. reloads the craft and snaps parts because they 'in teh ground' ugh [04:05:30] craft sitting on the ground physically, no wheels or struts, its fine [04:05:38] -struts... +landing legs [04:20:06] ok.. wheels are scary... [04:20:26] drop spring to min, a second or so later, may as well be a mini nuke going off [04:26:13] huh... [04:26:30] right [04:26:34] hey [04:27:08] Althego sorry, been trying to figure something out. I've got KAS/KIS right? Whenever I drop a winch out, whole plane nose jumps a couple of feet and everything blows to crud [04:28:03] was doing some fiddling around, turns out if I put springs dampeners to auto on the main gear, plane doesn't jump quite as much and no more boom [04:28:20] lol [04:28:37] though it just sets things to max springs, and slighlty above 1 damp.. [04:29:18] I belly flop the plane on the ground, it barely moves a MM when I drop the wintch. I was suspecting wheels were in the ground and sudden change of undocking shocks everything [04:30:36] earlier, i was testing an ejecting nose con on the Mk3 with a seperator. Even that was causing the whole stupid plane to go up like a mini nuke [04:37:45] adding buster to ci system, this is going to take a while. luckily automatic [04:38:18] Althego eh? [04:56:03] because of the ingenuity of the developers (us), the script that creates 4 oses with 2 architectureswith debootstrap can only run from scratch, so it recreates all those that already exists, this is while it takes so long [04:58:54] s/while/why/ [04:59:09] not even 7 in the morning yet [04:59:15] i hope oit finishes until 8 [05:02:48] mm k [14:27:18] reality is unrealistic https://twitter.com/spaceflashnews/status/1158629513204510720 [14:30:40] ah, we need those things for space travel [14:32:20] lol tardigrades [14:35:36] "Nuke the entire site from orbit - it's the only way to be sure" probably applies here [14:35:55] hehehe [14:36:04] isnt worth the trouble, they are harmless [14:40:05] now if we had an infestation of lawyers :) [15:29:31] hmm, 2 launches in 8 hours [15:29:53] dont bother with the spacex, no landing this time [15:42:16] waaaaaaaaat [15:43:02] amos 17 is the replacement of the one that was lost during the famous frosting explosion during ground testing [15:43:19] they want to make sure it is successful this time [16:53:21] #KSPOfficial: mode change '+o UmbralRaptop' by ChanServ!ChanServ@services.esper.net [17:23:44] I wanted to recover a part from orbit and while burning to match the target speed at the encounter we collided and I lost my engine and tank. [17:24:42] hehe [17:26:19] oops [17:26:51] even mir and progress colided once. can happen to anybody :) [17:45:59] Stupid space debris.. punch'n holes in my space stations... [17:46:37] though.. that scene in Gravity, getting what looks to be an I-beam through the head... or something x.x [17:51:58] #KSPOfficial: mode change '+o UmbralRaptop' by ChanServ!ChanServ@services.esper.net [18:40:46] Last message repeated 1 time(s). [18:40:46] hmm... to try without the additional ground stations? [19:12:34] Is there a way to see if an engine is gimballing? [19:13:42] click it, see if gimble is locked or not.. there is also the settings (roll, pitch, yaw) [19:14:24] yes aside from your eyes, the right click menu shows you [19:14:34] both in editor and flight [19:29:37] The gimbals free, and the actuator toggles are on, but the engine itself doesn't look like it's gimballing. Is there a way to actually see if it's gimballing, not just if the gimbal is on [19:30:22] you can see the nozzle moving [19:30:34] and even the flames moving with it [19:30:40] quite apperent usually [19:30:48] except for the engiens that are not gimballing at all [19:30:53] hmmm....then my engine isn't gimballing for some reason [19:31:04] what type is it? [19:32:49] Cryo Erebus [19:32:59] I think somethings causing it not to gimbal [19:34:04] that must come from a mod, i dont remember that [19:34:16] yeah, it's Nertea's cryo engine mod [19:34:21] It was working fine before though [19:34:25] can be anything, maybe conflicting mods [19:34:31] restart game? [19:34:32] I didn't change any mods [19:34:55] Restarted many times [19:35:10] There's some bugged thing I need to delete, I bet.... [19:35:14] hmm... [22:10:52] So my engines are suddenly not gimballing, has anyone encountered this? [22:16:04] are they engines that can? Not all do [22:16:20] (at least as of the last time I played) [23:04:29] #KSPOfficial: mode change '+o UmbralRaptop' by ChanServ!ChanServ@services.esper.net
