[01:50:00] weird, I have a ton of mods and I haven't had things split apart mysteriously unless I'm actually looking at them [01:50:30] (when I'm looking at them, sometimes things shake themselves into oblivion) [01:51:53] I've been having a few weird things happening to my parked vessels after I installed the most recent version of BD Armory and Physics Range Extender. So ima just uninstall those and monitor what happens. [01:53:11] ah, with physics range extender it is possible for things to shake themselves into two pieces in orbit while you are flying a plane and not looking at them [01:53:59] That might be the case. [01:54:16] not really any good way to stop that other than build things carefully and use struts [01:58:05] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRB66PGxNIc [01:58:05] YouTube - Haunted Faucet [01:58:13] https://imgur.com/zUcmAxo [01:58:14] https://i.imgur.com/zUcmAxo.png [01:59:12] for example this space train requires a ton of KIS struts to stop it from wobbling and annihilating things [02:00:44] I see. [16:38:20] I guess that's memory limitations. Pretty sure there must be some resolution option somewhere [16:38:29] or switching between pixels while recording to even out the load and possibly give a higher framerate and smother result [16:39:13] well it is true that camera have a maximum number of pixel per seconds they can reach but im not sure about this one [16:39:41] also recording 2k video would make the sensor overheat very rapidly [16:40:02] but im interested about how they go about to make 2mp video with a 11mp sensor [16:40:20] I can take photos using all the pixels of the camera btw [16:40:35] hmmm, I have no idea. Maybe it limits it via software? I have an 8mp camera, and yet I can only get 640x480 in video mode. [16:40:48] It's likely limited by how fast your memory is (SD card, I guess) and how much memory you have. I doubt the sensor array can get meaningfully warm from recording lots of image data. Also, most videos are at 60 FPS max, which is much less than could be done with a regular sensor array. [16:40:51] yeah it is probably software [16:41:18] I have the fastest sd card I could get for that camera [16:41:30] the bottleneck is probably the cpu and the cache [16:41:33] Software still limits it probably [16:41:49] CPU could be a limiting factor too, indeed. [16:41:53] and my camera overheats when recording for like 40 minutes in average temperature [16:42:03] That sounds weird. [16:42:13] my camera can record 400 and 1200fps during 5 seconds but at lower resolutions [16:43:02] Yeah, the sensor array can handle a big FPS. It's about how fast you can save the data, though [16:43:32] my camera was top of the line crap in 2011 so idk [16:43:55] and still pretty good by today's standards even [16:44:48] usually you can find gigapixels per seconds rating for cameras [16:44:55] https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product-archive/compact-digital-cameras/coolpix-l19.html - here's my camera. The battery door needs to be taped shut now (crazy cat got to it one year) but it's pretty darned good for a 9-10 year old camera. [16:45:13] https://www.cnet.com/products/nikon-1-v1/specs/ [16:46:01] well I know the framerate at certain resoluatons so I guess I could calculate that [16:48:19] 124.416 megapixels per second if I use 60fps 1080p resolution apparently [16:49:12] Pretty nice outside so I think I'm gonna take some shots with it. [16:49:21] uh when I shoot at 400fps it uses only 61mp per second [16:49:53] and 46mp/s at 1200fps [16:50:26] so I guess the camera is software limited in high speed mode [16:50:49] but it uses only a smaller part of the sensor in high speed so there is probably cpu and cache crap going on [16:52:23] actually if I record 5 seconds of 400fps and 5 seconds of 60 fps, the 60fps file has only about twice the number of megapicles [16:53:23] what is fun is that photos are heavier than the high speed videos [16:53:50] the photos take up to 8mb in raw [17:01:43] #KSPOfficial: mode change '+o TheKosmonaut' by ChanServ!ChanServ@services.esper.net [17:04:59] https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/236560222133551104/442733473367851009/render_2.png [17:18:17] lol this is just too funny https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHsRtomD4twRf5WVHHk-cMw/videos [17:18:25] explains evolution in terms of a pvp game :) [17:18:42] patches, meta, server, etc :) [17:23:09] hm, pretty interesting comparison.
