[02:26:35] #KSPOfficial: mode change '+o Althego' by ChanServ!ChanServ@services.esper.net [08:40:31] hello [08:40:36] im ffx [08:40:43] this looks like discord [08:43:14] hehe, less fancy [08:44:06] hey [08:44:07] Althego, hi uwu [08:44:47] what [08:44:48] wuwu [08:45:00] bruh are you a furry btw [08:45:45] also im a guest that means i will leave this server when im done chatting witch is now [08:45:46] bye [08:48:15] hehehehehe [08:48:17] hello [08:48:23] h again [08:48:24] lol [08:48:29] Mod9000 testping [09:01:03] hello again [09:03:46] what [09:03:48] serve ded [09:03:52] no [09:03:58] the people are [09:04:03] how to get out of the topic lol [10:07:36] Action: UmbralRaptor x_x [10:08:19] yes? [10:12:37] feeling dead, or something [10:13:07] Moar coffee? [10:13:22] Probably unrelated to it being 0615 in my timezone [10:15:49] hey i was there when irys started the stream at 400 [10:17:28] meep [10:18:56] reine sings fluently in meep [11:01:06] I guess including birb means she speaks 4 languages? [14:04:46] soon tm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUZZ0EDzII0 [14:04:57] blue origin suborbital [14:13:51] just hit spacebar already [14:14:11] set SAS to vertical, hit space [14:14:17] how hard can it be Blue Origin? [14:16:16] what a bunch of noobs [14:32:54] at least they didn't deploy the chute before separating [14:34:28] hehehe [14:34:31] or on launch [15:43:50] ever since i've discovered 'SAS only' i've had a much easier time driving rovers [15:57:52] yes [15:57:59] i remember that magical moment also [15:58:48] reaction wheels are really overpowered for small things in KSP [15:59:12] but this also taught me about another thing: moments of inertia [15:59:49] you are going to have a much easier time keeping your rover in the correct orientation if your mass is concentrated near the center and not far from it [16:00:47] like even if your front:back weight distribution is 50:50 like with a race car, there is a difference between having your fuel tanks clumbed near your center of mass, vs having them off to the side [16:01:19] clumped* [16:01:40] yeah i put batteries between the wheels only, not before or after [16:01:49] in front or behind, i suppose [16:04:31] yeah that helps when flipping about :D [16:04:46] also, you can kind of use joints as shock absorbers [16:05:16] when your wheels hit the ground hard, but don't themselves break, the rest of the parts will continue traveling downward and compress the joint [16:05:42] as long as you have enough distance that those parts never impact the ground, they will survive and bounce back [16:06:05] because the joints themselves are flexible and they take a rather excessive force to break [16:24:43] RWs overshoot in SAS when <100% authority. [16:25:26] SAS overshoots when RWs are <100% authority. [16:25:52] since basically forever [16:48:30] I use MechJeb's rover stability feature. It tries to orient the rover perpendicular to the surface normal [16:49:22] I had experimented with pushing it a bit into the ground in corners but that didn't work too well [19:41:13] hahaha, space and time watching interstellar together. not going to watch. dont like interstellar and i am going to be sleeping [19:58:49] oh, right. en gen 2 exists now [20:02:09] some launches coming up in the next few days [20:02:30] astra trying for orbit again [20:02:46] if they reach orbit now, and they have a good chance, they totally beat blue origin [20:02:54] (obviously this means we need a vtuber who streams launch vids) [20:03:07] and says hullo? :) [20:03:16] hah [20:03:41] why isnt anybody streaming ksp? [20:03:49] at least gura was thinking of space engineers [20:03:57] chat guesses maybe ksp [20:04:07] but it turned out to be space engineers [20:04:17] KSP doesn't seem like it would work well with the format [20:04:36] if minecraft can, ksp can too [20:13:24] there are quite a few KSP streamers [20:13:36] gone [20:13:58] I see [20:14:29] https://www.twitch.tv/jakeinaboat is live. I like his style [20:14:45] https://www.twitch.tv/backslashjack has some interesting builds [20:15:02] and of course there's linuxgurugamer, working on mods every tuesday [20:17:09] The broadcaster has indicated that this channel is intended for mature audiences. [20:17:17] BackslashJack [20:18:19] because he may use words that would be banned in this channel [20:29:03] The owner of this website (wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com) has banned you temporarily from accessing this website. [20:30:07] Action: darsie edited https://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Mun [20:30:21] You are being rate limited [20:31:28] Does it work for you? [20:32:33] the page loads. I don't have an account, anyway [20:34:05] Same on https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/ [20:42:16] How long do such temporary bans last? [20:42:53] That's silly, I didn't cause high traffic. [21:01:21] darsie: are you now, or have you evern been a part of the mirai botnet? [21:01:24] Action: raptop is kidding [21:01:43] idk. [21:02:26] anyway, I pretty regularly get hit with a captcha for Reasons(tm) [21:04:22] Yeah, I get cloudflare captchas, too, occasionally, but no bans. [22:47:35] Action: darsie edited https://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Mun [22:49:02] thinking outside the capsule, I see :) [22:49:18] :) [22:49:58] I tend to fly low over them, switch over, let them jetpack to orbit and pick them up with the rocket. [22:50:33] It's very unreliable. [22:51:03] the edit doesn't show up on the page for me, though. possibly some server-side caching involved [22:53:08] How do you know the edit if it didn't show up? [22:53:45] I checked the history [22:54:07] https://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?title=Mun&diff=102371&oldid=101672 [22:54:12] I added: With the 600 m/s provided by a jetpack Kerbals can fly to very low orbit if they use a very efficient ascent profile. This excludes flying over high obstacles early in the flight.
