For hundreds of years ancient metallurgists used bronze, a mixture of copper 
and tin for all of their crafting needs. However, in 1200 B.C.E., trading
collapsed, so they lost their supply of tin. Because of this, they were no
longer able to craft in bronze, so they had to find a new metal for crafting.
